Algonquin Canoe Company : New guided tours offer

Sitting right along the edge of the Ottawa River, the Algonquin Canoe company will offer to local and tourist clientele a new range of guided expeditions on many lakes in the anishnabe territory. The 2024 summer program includes full moon canoeing, a Canal Bay boat trip and a tour of the Emerald Lake in a moraine complex.

After several years traveling the world as a photographer, Carol-Ann Larouche Héroux returns to her native region and officially establishes her place of business in Témiscamingue. Her professional career has enabled her to acquire a wealth of expertise, which she intends to share with her Temiscamingue clientele. Specializing in intimate weddings, she also offers a variety of family and event packages.


New accommodation at Coop St-Eu

Located in the heart of the village of Saint-Eugène-de-Guigues, the Coop St-Eu is adding temporary accommodation to its existing services. Primarily intended for tourists, the three rooms will also accommodate workers and provide transitional housing for new arrivals and foreign students. This project responds to a growing demand for accommodation and supports the development of the Coop de solidarité.

After 8 years of study and several years of practice in the Temiscamingue community, Naomy Barrette founded NB thérapie. The helping relationship therapist offers safe spaces for her clients, including individual therapy, group workshops, conferences and the movement approach. Her services are offered mainly in virtual mode, but also in face-to-face settings.


Moffet Public Market: Addition of a rest area and a ready-to-eat service

The Marché public de Moffet has added a new stop for visitors, vacationers, cottagers, snowmobilers and ATV enthusiasts. Hugo Lévesque and Valérie Paquin acquires the Lapierre sugar shack

For 30 years, L'Érablière Tem-Sucre has been processing and distributing maple products throughout the region. Hugo Lévesque and Valérie Paquin seized the opportunity to acquire Érablière Lapierre de Laniel, part of Temiscamingue's cultural heritage. The pleasures of the sugaring-off season will be perpetuated with a traditional experience, a menu exploring the thousand facets of maple and activities to please everyone.


Noémie Landry starts Nhōme Intérieur

A graduate of the Interior Design program at Cégep de l'Outaouais, Noémie Landry chose to establish her company's head office in Témiscamingue, her native region. The founder of Nhōme Intérieur offers design services in the residential, commercial and corporate sectors. Her expertise enables her to offer look transformations, design technical plans and reorganize spaces and structures.


Jérémie Barrette and Jessica Richard starts O-Médi-Thé

A brand-new shake bar has recently opened in Ville-Marie. The owners of O-Médi-Thé, Jérémie Barrette and Jessica Richard, offer their customers a wide range of products, including energizing teas, whipped drinks in a variety of flavours, and protein snacks. Located on the shores of Lake Témiscamingue, the new business is also a place for gathering and well-being.

After some thirty years at the helm of Les Exploitations Branchebert, Gaston Gilbert is now handing over his delimbing business to Martin Bournival. Martin has many years of experience, and will be able to count on the support of the previous owner, as well as on the reputation the company has built up over the years


Lactalis at Laverlochère opens its doors to the families of its 80 employees

On December 9, the families of 80 Lactalis employees in Laverlochère had the opportunity to visit the plant. A total of 140 people were introduced to the various stages of milk processing, and were able to appreciate the automation of the butter and milk powder packaging lines. The last time such an event took place was over 10 years ago.
